This is an exciting opportunity to join the Housing Services team in a brand new role as a Property Enforcement Officer. You will be responsible for theandnbsp;investigation and resolution of access issues in Council housing for improvement, repairs, safety and quality compliance. Seeking solutions, supporting tenants, leading and taking appropriate action, including legal action to ensure regulatory and safety compliance You will be required to resolve matters gaining access to Council housing to enable the delivery in major programmes of work to properties and areas. You will need to seek solutions, support tenants, lead and take appropriate action, including legal action at Court to ensure regulatory and safety compliance in Council homes. Experience in a social housing environment or related field is required along with aandnbsp;thorough knowledge of social housing legislation, including all legal tools available for enforcement action. An NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in a housing-related subject is desirable but not essential. You will need experience in: Property inspections, including identifying repairs and maintenance needs Dealing with compliance deadlines and issues Taking the lead on enforcement actionandnbsp; Ability to negotiate, persuade and achieve positive outcomes in difficult situations and solve complex problems often requiring creative and analytical thinking.
