Job Overview
The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is increasing the number of Nursing Associates. Apprentices will undertake a two‑year programme and on completion gain registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. The training combines academic and work‑based learning across a range of healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high quality, compassionate care to patients and families.
* Work in a range of ward areas, including nights, long days and weekends.
* Gain experience in different health and social care settings, both within and external to the Trust.
* Participate in shift patterns and travel as required by placement area.
* Complete the academic programme at University of West London (level 5 Apprenticeship / Foundation Degree).
Essential Criteria
* GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4–9 (A–C) or equivalent level 2 functional skills.
* Ability to work full time (37.5 hours per week).
* Right to work in England – EEA citizen with right of abode, or non‑EEA citizen with permission and residency 3 years.
* Provide evidence of qualifications and residency (certificates, passport).
Desirable Criteria
* Care Certificate.
* Qualifications in Care (Level 3) or equivalent.
* Completion of T level in Health or BTEC in Health and Social Care.
* Previous experience in a health or care setting.
