We’re working with a welcoming, well-led secondary school in Leeds that’s looking for a passionate English Teacher to join their team. This is a department where discussion is encouraged, ideas are shared and lessons are designed to spark curiosity, creativity and a real love of language.
What you’ll be doing
* Delivering engaging English lessons across language and literature
* Helping students develop confidence in reading, writing and spoken expression
* Planning creative, inclusive lessons that bring texts and ideas to life
* Working collaboratively within a supportive English department
* Contributing to a positive school culture where students feel motivated and heard
What we’re looking for
* A qualified English Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
* Strong subject knowledge and a genuine love of language and literature
* A calm, confident classroom presence with a warm, consistent approach
* Someone who enjoys building relationships and making learning meaningful
* ECTs and experienced teachers are both very welcome

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
