My client is a growing Regional Civil Engineering Contractor delivering Schemes for multiple clients across the Highways Sector. They are looking to add a Contracts Manager to their Project Delivery Team based in Essex.
As Contracts Manager your duties and responsibilities will include;
* Oversee all contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with NEC forms and regulatory requirements.
* Manage multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion, including design coordination and site delivery.
* Monitor budgets, forecasts, and risk registers; ensure profitability and cost control.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering long-term relationships and supporting business development.
* Implement and monitor robust safety systems in line with company and statutory standards.
* Mentor project managers and site teams, ensuring effective resource allocation and performance.
* Participate in tender reviews, develop programmes and methodologies, and contribute to quality submissions.
* Work closely with design teams to deliver integrated solutions for controlled environments.
* Produce progress reports, chair meetings, and maintain accurate project documentation.
Knowledge / Education / Skills:
* Proven experience in managing large-scale civil engineering contracts, ideally within frameworks or multi-project environments.
* Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management principles.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and liaise with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
* Ability to drive performance, ensure compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
* A background in Road’s infrastructure projects will be highly advantageous.
* Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management.
