Expected earnings of up to £36,000 inclusive of £5 hourly Flight Pay, Daily Training Supplement, and Per Diem while away from base.
Ascend Airways operates a small fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft (NG and MAX) in the ACMI market, opening its first operational base at London Gatwick early 2024. The company is founded on the legacy of Synergy Aviation, a respected UK AOC holder, now part of Avia Solutions Group, the world's largest ACMI provider. Our goal is to offer ACMI and charter customers a modern fleet of UK-based aircraft and crews, aligning with the UK’s Jet Zero strategy and maintaining high safety and service standards.
We are seeking dynamic and experienced individuals to join our Cabin Crew Training Team. The role involves providing exceptional training to crew members and customers, ensuring safety, service excellence, and professional growth. The position is based in Gatwick, with travel required within the UK and overseas for training and supporting our ACMI operations. Flying duties will be rostered outside training events, including operational flights, line checks, and cabin monitoring checks.
Working hours and patterns will vary, with occasional work on weekends and bank holidays for training events, compensated with days off in lieu.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver comprehensive ground school courses to Cabin Crew and pilots of the company and customers.
2. Maintain professionalism in training delivery.
3. Use various instructional methods to accommodate different learning styles.
4. Contribute to the development of training materials and resources.
5. Mentor and support new crew members and instructors during training and onboarding.
6. Provide constructive feedback to Cabin Services and Training Management.
7. Ensure consistency and quality assurance of all training content.
8. Perform crew member operations duties and office days as required by the Head of Cabin Crew Training.
9. Promote improvements and innovations to enhance training delivery.
10. Participate in departmental audits and reviews.
11. Attend regular training team meetings.
12. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
13. Engage in continuous professional development.
Requirements
1. At least two years of training and assessment experience with a commercial airline or classroom setting.
2. Train the Trainer or recognized teaching and learning qualification.
3. Experience delivering SEP/SOP, Fire and Smoke, Wet Drills, and aircraft-specific training in classroom or practical settings.
4. UK CCA and UK Cabin Crew Medical certification.
5. Understanding of UK CAA regulations.
6. Experience training diverse groups.
7. Operational experience as an in-charge SCCM.
8. Dangerous Goods qualification (desirable).
9. CRMT Certificate and delivery experience (desirable).
10. AET Level 3 or equivalent.
11. Valid CIN and ability to deliver UK DfT aviation security courses.
12. Experience with Boeing 737NG and MAX (desirable).
13. Experience conducting line checks and onboard compliance checks (desirable).
