This is a unique opportunity in our Northampton branch. As the branch expert in Heating, M&E and in particular Gas Safe compliance, you will support those customers who are looking for a more comprehensive service than solely Air Conditioning or Refrigeration service and maintenance.
The Northampton branch is conveniently located on the Brackmills Industrial Estate, close to the A428 and the A45 and has plenty of free parking. You will be based at the branch but will also need to go out to sites to see customers or sub-contractors as required. This is a great opportunity to develop strong, positive relationships with our customers because of the added value that you are providing to them. You will also get to know your friendly colleagues and sub-contractors.
The Role
1. Reporting to the Service Manager and Project Manager, your main purpose will be to oversee the mechanical installations, service and maintenance requirements for our customers.
2. A large part of the role will be managing sub-contractors, including sourcing, planning, and allocating jobs as well as making sure that the job is done to the standards expected.
3. You will plan works including PPM and reactive works, assist in sourcing parts and preparing quotes and conducting site surveys.
4. Assist in planning new installs ensuring the correct compliance is met.
5. You will be the branch Gas Safe compliance expert, making sure that sub-contractors are compliant.
6. You will form a close relationship with customers, responding to their requests, visiting sites as needed and liaising with them when setting up PPM contracts.

What do we need from you?
1. Demonstrable experience as a Senior Commercial Gas Engineer or Mechanical Supervisor.
2. You will have some experience off the tools in a supervisor capacity, overseeing and project managing jobs.
3. Ideally you will already be Gas Safe Registered or willing to train to do so.
4. An additional training qualification in a related discipline will be an advantage.
5. SSSTS or SMSTS
6. Fully computer literate and experienced in working on CRM and database systems.
