Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Foods section, where youll become a champion of our high-quality products, great value offers, and excellent customer service. We’re seeking passionate individuals who take pride in their knowledge of M&S Food products and are excited to share it with our customers. You’ll be a brand ambassador ready to recommend our newest Food products and deliver remarkable service so customers feel valued every time they shop with us.
Due to operational requirements, all successful candidates may be asked to work up to full time during the weeks commencing 14th and 21st December. Work pattern varies by week and includes late shifts. This role involves working late nights and is subject to age requirements under relevant health and safety legislation.
Responsibilities
* Serve customers efficiently, both on the shop floor and at service points.
* Keep the store clean and tidy, ensuring shelves are stocked.
* Monitor and deliver on daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities.
* Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations and deliver exceptional service.
* Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services.
* Utilise digital tools and in-store devices to enhance the customer experience.
Qualifications
* High levels of customer service with attention to detail.
* Open to and acts upon feedback; regular communication and collaboration with colleagues.
* Ability to plan and manage own workload efficiently.
* Strong communication skills and adaptability to changing situations.
* Ability to build positive relationships by being a good listener and maintaining digital capability.
