As a key member of the team, the Civil Water Engineer will contribute to transformational programmes for critical infrastructure, providing industry-leading solutions throughout the project lifecycle, from technical design to construction-phase support. The role offers hybrid working, with three days per week office or site based.

Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate or manage a team of Civil Water engineers delivering technical design work on complex, multi-disciplinary projects, including hydraulics, wastewater and clean water infrastructure, water reuse, and pipelines.
* Produce and review technical deliverables such as design reports, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work.
* Provide technical input into project deliverables and work with project management teams to meet time, budget, and programme milestones.
* Collaborate with clients, operational teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver integrated design solutions.
* Mentor junior engineers and help develop Civil Water Engineering capabilities within the team.
* Work independently with minimal technical guidance, exercising judgement to solve complex problems.
* Provide technical support for bid proposals and contribute to quality assurance and design review processes.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a versatile and well-rounded Civil Water Engineer with:
* A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), preferably Chartered or Incorporated.
* Proven experience in managing or coordinating Civil Water engineering design teams in a multi-disciplinary environment.
* Strong knowledge of risk assessment, quality control, design management, and collaboration with disciplines such as MEICA, structures, and geotechnics.
* Practical understanding of current design codes and standards, including CDM regulations, Eurocodes, NEC, regulatory bodies, and water utility standards.
* Experience across the full project lifecycle and a solid understanding of contractor collaboration.
* Strong communication skills, able to convey technical concepts clearly across diverse teams.
* Experience in the Water market is essential.
* A proactive, highly motivated approach with a collaborative mindset.
