We’re looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to support students at our college in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has previously worked in a Teaching Assistant role and are passionate about helping learners overcome barriers to education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Individualised support: Provide one-to-one guidance and adapt learning materials for students requiring additional help.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and external specialists to create and implement effective support strategies to suit the needs of each student.
* Positive Role Modelling: Encourage respectful, inclusive interactions between students to promote positive, welcoming behaviours.
* Progress Tracking: Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents, celebrating achievements and offering support where needed.
* Training and Development: Participate in training and development sessions to stay updated with the latest educational practices and techniques for supporting students with SEN.
