We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join the culinary team at our luxury boutique hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds. About the Role:
As Senior Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in leading the kitchen, ensuring consistency and excellence across all menus from the restaurant and afternoon teas to private dining and weddings. You will be hands-on in service, inspire the team, and step up confidently in the Head Chefs absence.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head Chef in menu development, with a focus on local, seasonal produce.
Lead, train, and motivate junior chefs, fostering a positive and professional kitchen culture.
Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth service and impeccable standards.
Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and allergen standards.
Contribute ideas and creativity to keep the dining offering innovative and memorable.
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a quality hotel or restaurant.
Passion for seasonal British produce and modern, elegant presentation.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to nurture a small team.
Calm, organised, and able to thrive in a busy kitchen environment.
