Job Description
The Presales Solution Architect Energy, Utilities and Resources you will serve as a trusted solution advisor throughout the sales cycle, collaborating with the sales team, prospects and existing clients to uncover challenges and design compelling solutions using IFS’ Industrial AI solutions. This role is key in demonstrating the positive outcomes of our product suite to prospective clients across the Europe West region.
You will need to be comfortable having close dialogue with external stakeholders, including C-level, technical management, and architectural teams to position IFS as the partner of choice for the adoption and enablement of IFS solutions the Energy, Utilities and Resources industry vertical. Our customers are typically mid-to-large asset intensive enterprises managing key infrastructure, such as Energy & Utilities, Water, Oil & Gas, Mining, and more. In this role you will develop industry and solution knowledge to become a trusted advisor and key technology ambassador for our customers and prospects.
As this is a customer-facing role focused on providing complex solutions, you will need to be comfortable working in a multi-faceted role that will include:
1. Demonstrating industry thought leadership in customer engagements
2. Delivering impactful product demos and executive briefings (virtual and on-site)
3. Designing enterprise-level technology solutions
4. Providing solution leadership in the sales process
5. Engaging with the industry at external events
Key Responsibilities
6. Product Sales and DemonstrationsDeveloping and delivering engaging product presentations and tailored software demonstrationsManage and customize demo environments, scripts, and technical assetsCollaborate with Account Executives to define sales strategies and close dealsBuild strong relationships with prospect stakeholders and partnersRepresent IFS at trade shows and industry events
7. SolutioningDesign enterprise architecture solutions for prospective clients and help them visualize how IFS solutions would fit within their organizationInfluence product evolution through client insights and market trends
8. Technical ExpertiseRespond to RFXs, scope projects, and support proposal developmentConfiguring software for custom demonstrationsContribute to internal team development and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications
10. University degree, equivalent professional qualifications, or appropriate work history
11. Significant experience working presales, consulting, or technical sales roles within the Energy, Utilities and Resources industry
12. Comprehensive understanding of the value Service, Project and Asset Management solutions can bring to companies in the Energy, Utilities and Resources industry
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable solutions.
14. Ability to translate complex technology concepts into compelling business value propositions for executive and technical audiences.
15. Knowledge of artificial intelligence and modern software engineering practices is highly advantageous.
16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong planning and organisational capabilities.
17. Comfortable operating across multiple functions and geographies in a deadline-driven environment.
18. Fluency in English (verbal and written)
19. A willingness to travel nationally - and internationally as needed
