About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our team in Poole. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team that tailors care packages to meet the unique needs of each child and young adult. You will receive comprehensive training in Developmental Trauma and therapeutic parenting, equipping you to provide the best support possible.
Your Responsibilities
* Support children and young people in overcoming challenges related to their emotional and behavioral difficulties.
* Work flexible shifts, including 24-hour shifts with sleep-ins, on a rotating schedule.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of our young people.
* Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with the children in your care.
* Collaborate effectively with your team, accepting guidance and direction.
* Encourage the development of individual interests and skills of our young people.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
* Flexibility to work a 3-week rotation, including sleep-ins from 09:00 AM to 09:30 AM the following day.
* A willingness to pursue a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent, with the goal of upgrading to a Level 4 diploma.
* A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel purposes.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* A positive attitude towards learning and teamwork.
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
* Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a shift pattern that rotates. You will be working in a supportive environment where your contributions are valued and recognized.
