We're seeking a creative, data-driven Social Media Manager to elevate our online presence and drive meaningful engagement with our audience. In this role, you'll take full ownership of our ecommerce brand’s social media channels, starting with a comprehensive audit and optimisation of our current platforms. As you grow into the role, you’ll develop and implement innovative campaigns that align with our brand voice, while analysing and reporting on performance insights to guide strategy and execution. You’ll be responsible for planning, creating and publishing high quality content, engaging directly with our community, and of course, providing stellar customer service. You’ll collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure brand consistency and impact and play a key role in shaping how our audience experiences and connects with our products online. This is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary role that blends content creation, community management, strategy, data analysis, and customer engagement. You’ll be the driving force behind our digital storytelling, helping us educate, inspire, and grow our customer base in the mushroom space. Key Responsibilities 1. Social Media Strategy & Management Develop and implement social media strategies to drive engagement, increase brand awareness and generate leads and sales. Oversee and maintain our social media presence across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, open to other platforms). Conduct regular social media account audits and optimise accordingly. Create and maintain a monthly content calendar. Plan content strategy monthly, adjusting based on analytics and market trends. Stay up to date with current social media trends, tools and platform updates, aligning the strategy accordingly. Research and implement influencer marketing strategies and campaigns. Maintain UGC/influencer partnerships and nurture relationships for content and reach. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure social media strategies are integrated with broader marketing campaigns and initiatives. 2. Content Creation & Scheduling Plan, create, curate and manage content that aligns with our brand voice and resonates with our audience. Regularly update a content ideas document with new concepts and inspiration. Write engaging copy for posts tailored to each platform. Collaborate with graphic designers to ensure visual consistency and creativity. Perform regular research on content strategy trends within the mushroom and wellness industry. 3. Graphic Design & Visuals Coordinate with graphic designers to generate high quality creatives. Provide direction for visuals that support both organic social and paid campaigns. Ensure all graphics align with brand aesthetics and social platform standards. 4. Community Engagement & Customer Service Daily engaging with the community (commenting, liking, sharing within niche). Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers and fans to foster brand loyalty. Check all comments and DMs daily – use customer service templates to respond appropriately. Create and maintain customer service (CS) documentation. Provide excellent customer service via social media channels and support platforms. 5. Analytics & Reporting Measure and analyse the performance of social media content and campaign across all platforms. Create and present weekly content and campaign strategy analytics report. Use data insights to adjust and optimise content strategy and campaign execution. 6. Blog Writing & SEO Write blog posts to educate and inform customers about products and industry trends. Conduct keyword research and optimise blog content for SEO performance. Collaborate with the marketing team on topics and publishing schedules. 7. Advertising & Promotion Develop social media advertising strategies and manage ad budgets. Implement and monitor paid advertising campaigns. Adjust ad strategies based on real-time performance data and insights. 8. E-Commerce Website Support Assist with creation of content for website and other online channels. Aid in the creation and maintenance of product listings on e-commerce platforms. 9. Administrative & Project Coordination Handle general admin duties as required. Assist in customer inquiry resolution across all communication channels. Support team by maintaining digital files, checklists, and internal documentation. Conduct basic data analysis on sales and customer behaviour to support business decisions. Assist in project management tasks to ensure timely delivery and execution of initiatives. Qualifications Experience in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role is essential. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective social media strategies. Knowledge of social media management tools, analytics and best practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Creative thinking and problem-solving ability. Ability to create visually appealing content using graphic design tools (e.g. Canva or Adobe Creative Suite). Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Although not a strict requirement, it would be preferable if you have some knowledge of current trends and events happening in the mushroom industry.
