Virgin Active Chiswick is undergoing a multimillion-pound refurbishment, transforming our club into a premium wellness destination. This is an exciting opportunity to join us during a pivotal phase of change. We’re looking for a dynamic and commercially focused Sales Membership Manager to lead a pre and post sales campaign, grow our membership base in both volume and yield, and drive change management for our existing members and team during this period of transformation.

As an Sales Membership Manager, you will lead the Experience Team to deliver outstanding members’ and prospects’ experience daily, exceeding expectations and fostering loyalty.

The Role

* Having direct accountability and responsibility for leading the Experience team, ensuring the club is fully staffed to deliver exceptional service and meet daily budgets.
* Guaranteeing prompt handling of all membership inquiries, overseeing any necessary escalations.
* Managing membership administration, maintaining accuracy and GDPR compliance.
* Being accountable for all sales for your assigned club, ensuring all sales budgets are achieved, including volume, revenue and sales mix, junior memberships and joining fee budgets.
* Leading and executing the pre and post sales strategy during refurbishment, including outreach, community engagement, and conversion of leads into new memberships.
* Driving membership yield and volume growth, maximising opportunities through proactive sales initiatives and strategic partnerships.
* Leading change management communication with existing members, helping them understand and buy into the new club vision.
* Coaching and developing your team to adapt to the new club environment, ensuring consistency in service delivery.
* Monitoring and tracking all membership results and activity levels on a daily, weekly and monthly basis by using the systems and tools provided.
* Producing accurate, transparent reports and analysis as required by the General Manager, Regional Business Director and the rest of the business.
* Taking on the responsibilities of the Duty Shift as needed, demonstrating flexibility and dedication to the needs of the business, leading by example in all aspects of club management.

Experience

* Strong people management and organisational skills, fostering a cohesive and high-performing team.
* Proven track record of surpassing financial targets, driving success and growth.
* Experience from a Sales/KPI driven background is essential.
* Proven experience in pre-sales campaigns and membership growth strategies, preferably within the fitness or leisure industry.
* Demonstrated success in change management and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to lead through transitions effectively.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
