Electrical Engineer – Trafford Palazzo, Manchester
EQUANS is looking for an Electrical Engineer to work on behalf of Peel Group at Trafford Palazzo. This permanent full‑time role (40 hrs/week) offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Job Overview
As a resident electrician on the Peel L&P owned Trafford Palazzo, you will carry out planned maintenance activities and reactive works on site, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to safety and quality procedures.
Responsibilities
* Complete statutory and non‑statutory Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with annual PPM planners and task instruction sets, meeting SLA and KPI targets.
* Use CAFM systems to log reactive tasks and PPM, ensuring accurate documentation and certification.
* Maintain up‑to‑date site logbooks and logs, including technical reports on equipment.
* Respond to and resolve reactive calls via the EQUANS Service Desk, ensuring customer satisfaction within SLAs.
* Read, understand and apply generic site PPM risk assessments, method statements (RAMS) and any additional RAMS for large works or site‑specific roll‑ups.
* Supervise or escort subcontractors, ensuring they follow site security, RAMs and the EQUANS safe‑working procedures.
* Work reasonable overtime to accommodate site requirements.
* Complete statutory documentation, record keeping and technical reporting to a high standard.
* Assist team members on multi‑person tasks when requested.
* Wear company uniform and maintain a presentable appearance at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
* NVQ Level 2 & 3 Electrical Installation.
* Qualified to BS7671 18th Edition Regulations.
* City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Test.
* BS2377 PAT testing.
* Asbestos awareness (preferred).
* IPAF Powered Access Licence (preferred).
* PASMA (preferred).
* First aid trained (preferred).
* Computer literacy, including handheld PDA operation.
* Maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment.
* Fault‑finding and diagnosis of HVAC equipment.
* Operation and interrogation of BMS.
* Understanding of fire protection systems.
* Understanding of plumbing systems.
