Credit Control AssistantDoncasterThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and well-established finance team, offering strong long-term progression and the chance to build a career within finance. You’ll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the finance function, supporting across credit control and wider finance duties while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing customer accounts, including chasing outstanding payments and issuing statements
* Processing credit notes in line with approvals and returned goods
* Posting and reconciling incoming payments (BACS, card and cheque) on Sage
* Producing and issuing customer invoices
* Maintaining and updating customer account details and portals
* Preparing reports such as aged debt and customer activity
* Handling internal and external queries relating to accounts and payments
* Carrying out credit checks and monitoring customer risk
* Supporting the wider finance team during busy periods
About you:
* Keen to build a career within finance
* Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
* Comfortable using Excel and finance systems (Sage experience beneficial)
* Proactive, organised and willing to learn
