Job Description:
Posted by Investment Banking & Private Equity recruitment. A highly successful Infra investment banking group, responsible for the origination and execution of M&A scenarios across EMEA, is hiring due to pipeline and sustained deal activity.
Primary responsibilities:
1. Creating marketing materials: Engaged in creating investment banking marketing materials such as pitch books, responses to requests for proposals, and teaser documents
2. Financial modelling and analysis: Development of financial models (including DCF, LBO, and Merger model) to assess potential transactions, including evaluation of financial statements, valuation, and credit metrics
3. Sector and product research: Develop deep understanding of applicable sectors and products through detailed company and industry analysis such as benchmarking, profiling credit analysis, and investment highlights
4. Support in execution of mandated transactions: Support the team in preparing NDAs, mandate letters, Prospectus, Information memorandums, due diligence, loan returns analysis, and credit memos
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
* Experienced M&A Analyst in investment banking, accrued in a large IB, boutique, Big 4, or specialist modelling firm
* Prior Energy & Infra related experience with an interest across Energy, Renewables, Infrastructure, Transport, etc.
* Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with proficiency in building financial models from scratch, including operational models, accounting, debt facilities, credit metrics, and valuation analysis
* High levels of motivation and a strong work ethic, underpinned by an interest and passion for the sector
* Excellent understanding and ability to model different valuation methodologies including IRR, FCFE, DCF, and comparables
* Good understanding of the differences in processes between buy side, sell side, public mergers, and public acquisitions
