Primary School Teaching Assistant - Watford

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Watford for a full-time Teaching Assistant. This role is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm, and offers a rewarding opportunity to support pupils within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with complex needs, helping to promote their educational progress, personal development and overall wellbeing.
We are seeking candidates with previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a special educational needs setting, or as a care/support worker with young people-particularly those who are pre-verbal.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one support for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties and Autism
Support pupils in working towards their individual developmental milestones
Help to create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment
Assist with off-site learning activities and educational visits

What We're Looking For:
Immediate availability and based in or near Watford.
Previous experience working with children in a professional capacity
A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs
A genuine passion for helping every child reach their full potential
Willingness to assist with personal care and other specific needs as required
