We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Band 5 nurse who would like to be part of a very busy and forward thinking Outpatient Team. The role will involve working across the whole of Outpatient and Day Services at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital (CRCH) including our Nurse Led Wound Management Clinic, the Transfusion and Infusion Service, the Phototherapy clinics and in the general Outpatient clinics as required. Experience in IV therapy and cannulation would be an advantage.
We are a friendly, compassionate and hardworking team who believe in creating a caring, welcoming and safe environment for our patients. The 22.5 hours are to be worked over 3 days between 8am-5pm Mon to Sun; there is an expectation of occasional "late stays" to cover late running clinics. These are rotated in advance.

Main duties of the job
* Participate in the delivery of Outpatient services ensuring strategic organisational objectives are reflected by the patient experience.
* Continuously develop knowledge and skills to be a confident and competent professional in all areas of Outpatient Services, including nurse-led clinics; undertake other duties as required in keeping with the expectations of a Band 5 Registered Nurse.
* Ensure a welcoming, caring and safe environment for patients and their carers, demonstrating the 6 Cs of nursing care in all interactions.
* Promote and maintain good interpersonal relationships with all users of Outpatient Services.
* Develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge necessary to provide research-informed, evidence-based nursing care.
* Provide treatment and support for patients with complex wound care needs.
* Provide treatment and support to patients receiving IV therapy.
* Provide treatment and support for patients receiving Phototherapy and undertake training as required.
* Support junior staff and students in all aspects of Outpatient care.

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications Essential Criteria
* Current professional registration NMC
* Supervisor/assessor training or equivalent
Desirable criteria
* Previous nursing experience in an Outpatient setting
* Tissue Viability related training/qualification
Skills and Aptitude Essential criteria
* Proven ability to work as part of a dynamic nursing team
* Competent and trained in Venepuncture
* Wound management experience
* Competent and trained in ABPI/Doppler assessment
* Ability to delegate and supervise junior staff
Desirable criteria
* Cannulation skills
* Competent and trained in IV Therapy
* Competent and trained in Phototherapy
* Previous experience of staff appraisals
