About the Role
The school is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team immediately. This is a full-time role with the exciting opportunity to transition into a permanent contract for the right candidate.
As an HLTA, you will be a valued member of the staff team, covering lessons across different year groups, leading small-group interventions, and supporting teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver pre-planned lessons confidently in the teacher’s absence.
* Support learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as required.
* Work with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to raise attainment.
* Promote positive behaviour and provide a safe, engaging classroom environment.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and leadership to support pupils’ academic and social development.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting its ethos and values.
What We’re Looking For
* HLTA status (or significant classroom experience with the ability to cover lessons).
* Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
* Flexibility to work across all year groups in primary.
* Ability to inspire, motivate, and support pupils of all abilities.
* A proactive, professional, and resilient approach.
