RSK Land Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group are looking for a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in Wigan, UK. This is a full‑time, permanent position.
RSK LDE Ltd was formed in 2003 after a number of specialist design engineers joined RSK in order to strengthen its existing in‑house capabilities. It now has a highly experienced team made up of professional civil and structural engineering staff with many years experience in the assessment, design and construction of major development projects.
Responsibilities
* Manage, lead, and deliver designs for multiple projects on time and to budget.
* Agree engineering strategies and ensure these are adhered to.
* Negotiate technical approval for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278 etc.).
* Ensure designs comply with current Codes of Practice.
* Maintain effective communication with design team and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
* Working knowledge of :
* Highway design and ground modelling.
* Drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including sustainable drainage systems.
* External works levels design, including Part M.
* Industry Codes of Practice and Health and Safety legislation.
* Software package experience :
* Autocad,
* PDS / XP Site 3D (or similar),
* Microdrainage Windes / Flow (or similar),
* Microsoft packages.
* Ideally 5-10 years experience in a similar sector within Consultancy.
* Educated to degree or HNC level.
