Job Description
Location: Guildford - Full-time, site-based position
Overview: The Senior Project Manager will report to the Divisional Director on an exciting healthcare project currently in the procurement stage. The project exceeds £10M and involves constructing a new building on an existing site. The role involves overseeing Mechanical or Electrical building services on site.
Key Requirements:
* Comprehensive understanding of the full project lifecycle, including contract obligations, procurement, commercial, and quality management.
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications for accurate costing.
* Experience in site personnel inductions, daily briefings, toolbox talks, RAMS preparation, and H&S monitoring.
* Preparation and issuance of technical submissions, stock monitoring, procurement assistance, and overseeing deliveries and hire equipment.
* Coordination with subcontractors and specialists, troubleshooting, and progress monitoring.
* Reporting project progress to the Main Contractor, Client, and Operations Manager.
* Maintaining high standards and monitoring IMS systems.
* Participation in meetings, providing input for project and client updates.
* Scheduling and overseeing commissioning, testing, and record-keeping for O&M manuals.
* Preparation of manuals, as-installed drawings, logbooks, and operational guides.
* Strong communication skills essential for planning, reporting, and team coordination.
* Building and maintaining relationships with the project team, clients, and end-users.
* Conflict resolution and professional management of site personnel.
* Liaising with design teams, consultants, and clients, providing relevant information.
* Overseeing H&S, procurement, and delivery aspects of the project.
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum of 10 years in Project Management.
* Specialization in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.
* Proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
* Experience working directly with clients on healthcare or similar projects.
