We are seeking an Executive People Director who will be a Strategic and Operational Leader with accountability for overseeing the HR, Recruitment, L&D and H&S services across the Five Rivers Child Care Group. This new role will play a vital role in creating and implementing our People Strategy, designing our Talent Acquisition Strategy, enhancing our Employee Value Proposition and developing our Culture of Excellence through encouraging high standards, continuous improvement, and a commitment to achieving organisational goals, where our employees are supported and encouraged to become experts in their roles and areas of expertise. Location The role is home based but will require weekly travel into our Head Office located in Salisbury, Wiltshire, and will require frequent travel across our UK and the Republic of Ireland Division. Key Responsibilities • Play an active role, as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, in driving continuous improvement of our employee experience and HR processes. • Lead a team of HR and L&D professionals, providing guidance, coaching, mentoring to achieve organisational goals and supporting their effective performance and professional growth. • Lead our Heads of Service and Operational Managers to develop effective workforce planning strategies. • Develop and execute our People Strategies aligned with our goals and values, including collaborating with stakeholders to create meaningful and compliant policies. • Develop and implement our Employee Performance Management Systems, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and career development plans. • Oversee the quality of our safer recruitment and selection process. • Oversee the management of employee relations issues, ensuring we address concerns, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive work culture. • Lead our Learning & Development provision, enhancing employee skills, ensuring that the learning outcomes are delivered effectively and directly support our strategic aims. • Lead our efforts to create a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and respected. • Enhance employee satisfaction and engagement by implementing effective initiatives and benefits programs. These include regular employee satisfaction surveys, gathering valuable feedback and identifying areas for improvement. • Organise company-wide events, workshops, and forums to promote community, collaboration, and shared purpose. • Ensure company compliance with all employment regulations and standards within our sector, including Health and Safety, Safer Recruitment, and mandatory learning requirements.
