BESS Programme Manager – Battery Energy Storage / Power Sector
Location: UK (UK HQ-based, travel required)

A leading UK engineering manufacturer is recruiting a BESS Programme Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of battery energy storage projects, including Tesla sites.
The role covers everything from pre-contract award to post-handover support, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead delivery of BESS projects across the UK and Europe.
* Coordinate Engineering, Projects, QA, H&S, Planning, Logistics, and Site Services teams.
* Ensure project profitability and manage P&L performance.
* Identify and resolve risks/issues proactively to maintain customer satisfaction.
* Chair project review meetings and report to senior leadership.
* Develop KPIs and trackers to monitor performance and delivery.
* Support process improvements and drive continuous delivery excellence.
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 5 years in a similar project delivery role.
* ONC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
* Experience with energy infrastructure, transformers, or switchgear desirable.
* Strong planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience in manufacturing/engineering environments preferred.
* Understanding of HSE legislation, RAMS, CDM regulations.
* Strong leadership, communication, and IT skills.
* Full UK driving licence; willing to travel.
