Peripatetic Maintenance Manager – Glasgow Region

Overview
We’re looking for a hands‑on problem solver with a passion for maintenance and a commitment to excellence to oversee the upkeep of a number of care homes in the Glasgow Region, ensuring they remain safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained for our residents and staff.
What You’ll Do
* Handle minor repairs and replace light bulbs to keep facilities in prime condition.
* Perform routine maintenance and service all tools and machinery.
* Inspect electrical panels and wiring, resolving issues before they escalate.
* Install new appliances and equipment, ensuring correct setup.
* Maintain outdoor areas, mowing lawns and collecting trash.
* Test safety systems such as fire alarms, ensuring readiness.
* Inspect and repair building surfaces, keeping spaces functional.
* Participate in renovation projects to improve facilities.
* Collaborate with a facilities or maintenance manager to report and resolve larger issues.
* Ensure all work adheres to our high standards of quality, health, and safety.
Qualifications
* Experience in facilities or building maintenance.
* Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.
* Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends.
* On‑call availability for emergencies.
