Key Responsibilities: * Clinical Assessments: Undertake comprehensive assessments to determine fitness for detention, interview, transfer, or release. * Minor Illness/Injury Management: Provide immediate care for minor ailments and injuries, escalating serious conditions as needed. * Forensic Examinations: Conduct forensic examinations, record injuries, and collect DNA evidence when appropriate. * Specimen Collection: Collect specimens in accordance with legislation. * Substance Misuse Assessments: Assess alcohol and drug intoxication and withdrawal. * Mental Health & Learning Disability Assessments: Conduct assessments where appropriate. * Documentation & Testimony: Maintain meticulous clinical records, provide written statements, and give oral testimony in court as required. * Support & Development: Contribute to the development of medical services and comply with all relevant competencies and legislation.
