Overview
Permanent full-time 0.5wte Occupational Therapy Team Lead position within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde based within the West Glasgow community paediatric team. Lead, mentor and supervise a skilled group of therapists and support staff while delivering high quality occupational therapy services to children with developmental and neurodevelopmental needs.
Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor and supervise a team of therapists and support staff.
* Provide high quality occupational therapy services to children with various developmental and neurodevelopmental needs.
* Lead on clinical governance, risk management, evidence-based practice, audit and research methodology.
* Assist the Service Manager and Occupational Therapy Professional Lead in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the OT service for children and young people with physical disabilities, complex needs and neurodevelopmental disorders across health, educational and social settings.
* Lead in planning and implementing best practice, quality assurance, and responding to complaints within the managed service.
* Maintain a clinical caseload and ensure safe, effective patient care for children and young people referred to the service.
Qualifications and requirements
* Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration.
* Proven leadership or supervisory experience preferred; training and mentoring will be offered.
* Community experience is beneficial.
* Car driver is essential.
Additional information
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (18.5 hours); to be discussed at interview. This is a permanent full-time 0.5wte position.
