Title: International Trade Controls Consultant Title: International Trade Controls Consultant Salary range: £43,000 to £53,000 per annum depending on experience Location: Leatherhead Working Pattern: We operate a flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer-Nash, with time split between the office and working from home. The International Trades Controls Consultant provides specialist counsel and oversight, direction and guidance to facilitate all Trade Compliance related matters across the business, including governance, risk, training, assurance, sanctions & embargoes, classification/jurisdiction and support to opportunity & contract gates. You will be responsible for: Acting as the principal knowledge lead for colleagues in technical and enabling functions in matters concerning trade compliance, advising stakeholders throughout the business – and beyond - using specialized knowledge and influence to guide managers, developing solutions in partnership with the business, as needed. Deployment and adherence with all applicable Frazer-Nash trade compliance procedures, processes and mandates to Programmes. Conducting sanctioned party screening. Developing and maintaining trade compliance tools and databases. Conducting reviews and approve/refuse intangible and tangible Export requests made by programmes Conduct business quality, risk and audit (assurance) activities. Undertaking reviews and approvals for the business as required. Developing and delivering Trade Controls training, communications, and awareness campaigns. Assisting in business investigations, where required. Supporting the UK Regional Trade Controls Lead, as required. Act as an authorised signatory for licences, undertakings and authorisations Essential Requirements: Demonstrable experience in a Trade Controls role or similar field. An inclusive mindset and an excellent team player Strong proficiency in UK and EU trade regulations, with experience navigating U.S. and global trade rules Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills - able to influence and guide teams across functions Highly self motivated Willingness to travel to other UK offices and Client sites as required Desirable Requirements: Prior exposure to complex, multi-jurisdictional trade compliance environments Knowledge of Customs legislation and classification Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
