Sales & Marketing Manager | Barry Leisure Centre 40 Hours (Maternity Cover) This is a dynamic role where you will be instrumental in driving both sales performance and marketing strategy. Your primary focus will be on continuous customer and staff relations, sales growth, and strategic promotion of the centre. Primary objectives for the Sales & Marketing Manager will be: Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales of Learn to Swim and Fitness memberships, maximise new business conversion, and achieve secondary revenue targets through effective sales closure, cross-selling, and up-selling. Strategic Marketing and Digital Content: Develop, execute, and monitor a comprehensive monthly marketing plan, including in reach, outreach, and social media activities. This involves creating and managing engaging content across platforms like Facebook and Instagram, and leveraging local partnerships. Team Leadership and Development: Oversee the Sales Team, managing all aspects of their employment including recruitment, scheduling (rotas), training, and ongoing development, while also collaborating with the Front of House team. Customer Experience and Brand Integrity: Promote excellent customer service, efficiently handle all membership inquiries and bookings, and ensure the consistent delivery of all Brand Standards and high standards of facility presentation. Financial and Performance Management: Closely monitor and track Key Performance Indicators, produce accurate monthly performance records, statistics, and reports, and support the Centre Manager in meeting departmental financial objectives. Operational and Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety procedures and responsibilities are consistently carried out, and be aware of all H&S issues within the centre to maintain a safe environment for all site users. Qualifications As the successful candidate you must be flexible, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team. You will ideally possess the level three or higher management qualification, have at least 1 years of management experience and be able to demonstrate some experience in the Sales and/or marketing.
