Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Contract: Full-time | Permanent / Long-term
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and inspiring SEN Maths Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Huddersfield from September 2026.
This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about making mathematics approachable and engaging for pupils with Special Educational Needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties. You will deliver tailored lessons that build confidence, develop core numeracy skills, and support pupils in achieving meaningful progress.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons across KS3 and/or KS4
Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit individual learning needs
Develop and implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCO, and support staff
Create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Track and assess student progress, adapting strategies where necessary
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Maths and supporting SEN learners
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach to teaching
Passionate about inclusive education and student development
Experience in an SEN or specialist setting is desirable but not essential
