Job Summary
Responding to user queries, incidents and issues, which can arrive through the IT help desk, by email, or by phone.
Gathering information related to incidents or issues, then determining the root cause and implementing resolutions to resolve the users issues.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting internal users across the UK and global offices with software and hardware issues, and service requests
Prioritising and managing several open support cases
Active Directory administration. user account creations, modifications, account removals, computer management, security, access rights, etc.
Involved in hardware builds and initial system training for new users
Assist colleagues in the wider IT team in dealing with peaks in workload, within the IT service/support area where necessary.
Working in the office, Travel UK and rate travelling abroad
Communication and Contacts
Communication is verbal and written including the provision of technical reports, sensitive information etc.
Contact includes both internal / external customers & Vendors
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Working knowledge of Active Directory.
Experience in a similar role.
An up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of IT Systems
Technical knowledge and experience of Windows 11
Basic knowledge and experience of server operation systems: Windows Server 2016, 2019 & 2022
Active Directory administration.
Demonstrable experience of providing hardware support/troubleshooting (PCs, laptops, printers, multi-function devices).
Internal customer service including helpdesk/IT support environment.
Full driving licence
Desirable
Experience of Veeam
Experience of Microsoft Intune
Some virtualisation knowledge (VMWare, Hypervisor, Nutanix)

Ability to communicate and liaise across the business with both technical and non-technical people alike.
