Role Overview
Sunderland City Council is appointing a permanent Highways Delivery Manager to join the Highways Operations Team.
The role involves delivering strategic development and delivery of front‑line services and enhancing coordination of mainstream services to meet local needs. Responsibilities include managing footpath, carriageway, drainage, and related maintenance services, as well as highway maintenance schemes.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver strategic development and delivery of front‑line services.
* Coordinate and oversee mainstream service delivery to respond to local needs.
* Manage footpath, carriageway, drainage and associated maintenance services, and highway maintenance schemes.
Qualifications
* Experience of managing site‑based construction related projects or highways maintenance services.
* Full UK/EEC Driving Licence.
* Willingness to work in all weathers.
* Ability to meet travel requirements and work flexible or additional hours as needed.
