A successful and rapidly growing aviation business require a Supply Chain Manager. An exciting greenfield opportunity, the Supply Chain Manager will develop and implement strategy across; procurement, logistics and inventory management. Applicants should have previous experience at Procurement Manager or Supply Chain Manager-level, and while previous aviation or aerospace exposure would be a logical "fit" all industry backgrounds will be considered.
Reporting to the executive team, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for establishing strategy, processes and optimising the entire supply chain operations for the maintenance/MRO side of the business.
Specific duties of the Supply Chain Manager include:
Manage procurement of aircraft parts, tools, consumables and also indirect spend areas
Build and develop supplier relationships across industry, OEMs, distributors and logistics partners
Oversee inventory management, planning, forecasting and optimisation
Lead logistics and shipping function
Manage a team of Buyers, Inventory Planners and Warehouse staff
Refine and optimise ERP system
Supply Chain Managers should meet the following criteria:
Previous experience at a senior-level; Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Materials Manager
Strategic procurement toolkit - negotiations, supplier management, supplier landscaping
Strong appreciation of end-to-end supply chain operations
Leadership and gravitas - ability to develop a function
Experienced in the use of ERP and inventory management systems
Aerospace and aviation experience would be preferred, but not essential
