Job Title: Programme Leader in Construction

Status: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours/week)

About the role

As Programme Leader in Construction, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our construction curriculum and inspiring the next generation of industry professionals. This is a leadership position where you will oversee programme delivery, ensure high-quality teaching and learning, and drive innovation across the curriculum area.

You will lead on curriculum development, quality assurance, and course management, ensuring compliance with awarding body requirements and alignment with industry standards. The role also involves mentoring and supporting Course Managers, building strong links with employers and stakeholders, and contributing to departmental growth through recruitment and engagement activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator with strong industry knowledge and a commitment to excellence—someone ready to make a real impact on learners and the wider construction sector.

Key responsibilities:

1. Lead curriculum development and ensure compliance with awarding body standards.
2. Deliver consistently high-quality teaching and assessment.
3. Build and maintain industry relationships to enhance learner opportunities.
4. Provide effective line management to Lecturer/Course Managers and drive team performance.
5. Act as Account Manager for employer engagement and deputise for the Curriculum Area Manager.

The successful candidate will:

6. Hold a Level 3 qualification in Construction and a Level 5 Teaching Qualification.
7. Demonstrate a strong record of teaching and learning practice.
8. Have experience designing and delivering FE programmes, ideally including City & Guilds and Pearson qualifications.
9. Be self-motivated with excellent communication and leadership skills.
10. Show evidence of continuous professional development and industry experience.

As a College, we actively encourage applications from industry professionals without a teaching qualification, as well as those from qualified teachers. Reaseheath offers a full CPD programme with access to funded qualifications alongside hands on support whilst completing Further Education Training. Industry professionals joining the College in an academic role, will complete their Further Education Training whilst in post.

The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment.
