They are searching for a driven, experienced Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside a growing team of professionals, near the conveniently-located, cultural town of Crawley.

Responsibilities for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include:
6. Contributing to a diverse range of projects, including residential and commercial developments, sports venues and stadiums, school buildings, rail and infrastructure, and more, across the public and private sectors
7. Complete technical work in the mitigation of flood risk, including Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Estimation Reports
8. Design Drainage Strategies and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
9. Utilise a range of software packages to produce technical work and designs, including MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and similar
Required skills and experience for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include:
10. A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or Hydrology (or similar, relevant discipline)
11. Prior experience of working in a UK consultancy setting, specifically in a design-based role
12. Demonstrable experience of completing Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Design
13. Demonstrable competencies in Hydraulic Modelling
14. Experience in designing a range of infrastructure projects
15. Highly proficient in the use of MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and other relevant software packages
16. Outstanding communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organisational skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include:
17. Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
18. Based in the South-East of England, with knowledge of the local area
19. Excellent time management skills
