An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse with a passion for women's health to work within the gynaecology outpatients department at the RUH in Bath. Main duties of the job
You will be joining a small and friendly team who are dedicated to providing high standards of care. The post holder will be expected to work full time hours across Monday-Friday in a range of gynaecology clinics covering a variety of gynaecology sub-specialities including general gynaecology, gynae-oncology, colposcopy and uro-gynaecology. Our emergency gynaecology clinic runs each morning and a registered nurse will be allocated to work to help run the clinic alongside the on-call team. The surgical list runs 3 days a week from the department so previous surgical experience caring for women pre and post operatively is desirable. We run many minor operating clinics under local anaesthetic such as manual vacuum aspiration, endometrial ablation, complex coil insertion, urethral bulking and polyp resection.
Working well in a team and having excellent communication skills are vital for the role. The post holder will be compassionate and empathetic as caring for women with pregnancy loss and cancer can be emotionally challenging at times. The successful applicant will be motivated and enthusiastic. We are invested in our staff development and encourage opportunities for further training.
