Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to elderly individuals in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will be responsible for supervising junior staff members and assisting with the implementation of care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of residents. Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure a high standard of care is delivered.
* Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents within the care home.
* Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in senior care.
Skills
* Proven experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and their families.
* Ability to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care.
