QA Administrator Location: West Bromwich Industry: Chemicals Manufacturing Reporting to: Quality Assurance Manager Job Purpose The QA Administrator supports the Quality Assurance function by ensuring accurate documentation control, compliance with quality standards, and effective administrative coordination across quality processes. The role plays a key part in maintaining quality management systems and supporting regulatory and customer requirements within a chemicals manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities * Maintain and control quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, specifications, and records. * Support the administration of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring documents are current, approved, and correctly archived. * Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and maintaining audit records. * Record, track, and follow up on non-conformances, corrective actions, and customer complaints. * Ensure quality records are completed accurately and stored in line with company and regulatory requirements. * Assist in the preparation of quality reports, KPIs, and performance data. * Support change control processes and ensure documentation updates are communicated effectively. * Liaise with production, technical, and laboratory teams to ensure quality documentation is complete and compliant. * Provide general administrative support to the Quality Assurance department. Key Skills and Experience * Previous administrative experience within a quality, manufacturing, or regulated environment (chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, or similar preferred). * Experience of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (E) * Experience of Computer-based systems –e.g. Q-Pulse, SAGE X3 (E) * Understanding of Quality Management Systems and document control processes. * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Qualifications * Educated to minimum 'A' level standard or equivalent in a technical subject Personal Attributes * Methodical and detail-oriented approach. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proactive and able to identify process improvements. * Professional and confidential in handling sensitive information.
