Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable person to join our textile manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating twisting and winding machinery, ensuring product quality and consistency throughout the production process. This role is essential to maintaining the integrity and performance of our yarn products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and monitor yarn twisting and winding machines according to production specifications
* Set up machines with appropriate yarn types and tension levels
* Inspect yarns for defects before and after twisting or winding
* Inspect yarns for defects such as knots, breaks, or uneven thickness
* Replace empty bobbins or cones and ensure proper threading through guides and tensioners
* Maintain consistent quality by performing regular checks and adjustments
* Report any equipment malfunctions or material issues
* Clean and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance
* Follow safety protocols and maintain a tidy work environment
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
Requirements:
* Previous experience in textile manufacturing yarn. Twisting or winding preferred. But training will be given.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Physical stamina to patrol the machines and handle yarn spools
Preferred Qualifications:
* Written and verbal communication skills
* Technical training in textile operations is a plus.
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices is desirable.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
