Job Title: Occupational Health Technician
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £26,325 per annum. Overtime may increase earnings to up to £33,000 per annum (average 8‑9 hrs per week).

Medigold Health is looking for a Mobile Occupational Health Technician to deliver high‑quality health surveillance services across the Peterborough area. Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Carry out health surveillance, drug and alcohol testing, venepuncture, and vaccinations (for trained nurses).
* Prepare mobile vehicle, equipment, stocks and supplies.
* Complete all paperwork, files and associated forms.
* Maintain adequate stocks and supplies, placing orders as needed.
* Check all equipment, ensuring calibration, PAT testing, and logs are up to date.
* Maintain cleanliness of equipment and mobile vehicles to a high standard.
* Complete required forms, databases and logs.
* Track mileage, petrol usage and expenses accurately.
* Process surveillance data and triage for escalation to Occupational Health Practitioner.
* Maintain competence in use of all equipment and testing procedures.
* Contribute to development of policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
* Plan routes and liaise with the Health Surveillance Manager regarding logistics.
* Ensure vehicles are fuelled at all times.
* Comply with the Medigold Data Protection policy.
* Perform routine administration duties.
* Identify improvements or enhancements to the service where necessary.
* Participate in personal and professional development training.
* Undertake office‑based duties when travel is not required.
* Attend in‑house Clinical Audit days and departmental meetings.
Requirements
* Degree in Sports Science or a related field (full training provided).
* Experience as an EMT, nurse or other healthcare professional (preferred).
* Full clean driver’s licence; able to park a mobile unit at home.
* General nursing qualification or evidence of OH technician training/experience (desirable).
* Flexibility to travel across the UK and stay overnight when required.
* Subject to DBS check and right‑to‑work verification.
Additional Information
* Mobile units are 3.5 tons; no special licence required.
* All MU drivers receive driver familiarisation training and a drivers medical.
* Overnight stays required; hotel and meal allowances provided.
* Working hours vary with client needs; core hours 37.5 per week. Some shift work between 11 pm and 6 am is paid at a higher rate. Overtime is typically travel time and paid at a higher rate.
