So, what will I be doing?
As Quality Assurance Technologist you'll be responsible for supporting a continuous improvement based Food safety and Quality culture across the site in line with the business Technical strategy and policy.
You'll ensure that we have consistent and unambiguous operating procedures that cover all tasks and that those procedures are aligned to the correct roles so we can ensure all co-owners receive the training required to be able to confidently meet the safety and quality standards we require.
You'll be an integral member of the Site Management Team, reporting into the site Quality Systems Manager. You will work with both the operations and engineering teams to identify and implement continuous improvement from a technical bias.
This is a full time position working Monday - Friday - 40 Hours.
Key responsibilities:
1. Identifying all tasks required that are critical to each department on site, requiring a standard operating procedure
2. Identify a clear and consistent format for all operating procedures and logs, in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders
3. Review all existing procedures and logs and revise or replace as necessary within the agreed template formats
4. Produce new operating procedures where gaps are identified
5. Work with the operation and engineering teams to identify consistent roles across the site and allocate operating procedures to those roles.
6. Review and revise the site training database to reflect the agreed roles and procedure allocations, removing extraneous roles and systems
7. Work with all stakeholders to support in the training of administration and review of the training database
8. Support in the training and review of effectiveness of procedures.
9. Assisting with site visits and audits pertaining to this role.
10. Supporting the Quality Systems Manager as required
11. Passionate and proud about our products and processes, you will be always looking for ways to improve our delivery on site KPI's and work closely with all key stakeholders to drive improvements across site.

Essential:
12. Demonstrable experience within a relevant technical role within the food industry
13. Strong communication and influencing skills
14. Knowledge of BRC accreditation and retailer standards
15. Good IT skills, ability to manipulate and present information effectively
16. Good standard of English
Desirable:
17. Manufacturing experience
18. A recognised audit qualification
19. Training qualification
20. Relevant food related qualification
