We have an opportunity for an Employment Solicitor to join a firm in Merseyside for a long term maternity cover starting from the end of July.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advise employer clients on employment law and workplace issues
* Prepare legal documents, contracts, and responses to employment claims
* Represent employers in employment tribunals and hearings
* Handle settlement discussions and ACAS negotiations
* Manage tribunal cases from start to finish
* Draft and review HR policies, contracts, and procedures
* Support clients with dismissals, grievances, and disciplinary matters
* Keep up to date with employment law changes and advise clients accordingly
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and tribunal procedures
* Experience advising employers/respondents in employment matters
* Confident handling Employment Tribunal cases and drafting legal documents
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
* Experience negotiating settlements and working with ACAS
* Proactive, client-focused, and able to work independently or in a team
