Overview
An opportunity has arisen to join the pharmacy team as a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist - hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB), covering the absence of the permanent staff member whilst they go on maternity leave. You will lead the pharmacy service provision to HPB patients at NUH. The Nottingham HPB Service is a local and regional tertiary referral centre for all aspects of HPB disease and a centre of excellence for laparoscopic HPB surgery. The role will be based at Queens Medical Centre, working as part of the MDT to provide high quality medicines reconciliation and pharmaceutical knowledge, with a focus on medicines optimisation and reducing harm from inappropriate polypharmacy. The post holder will also work within the wider pharmacy surgical team and provide support to other team members and trainees.

Person specification
Training and Qualifications
* Essential: B.Pharm/ BSc (Pharmacy) or MPharm
* Essential: GPhC registered
* Essential: Clinical diploma or equivalent
* Desirable: Independent prescriber
* Desirable: Evidence of CPD undertaken
Experience
* Essential: Extensive hospital pharmacy experience (post registration)
* Essential: Broad knowledge base of wide clinical areas
