The role
Build a Career That Changes Lives At MacIntyre, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a gloriously ordinary life – a life filled with choice, independence, relationships, purpose and the freedom to be themselves.
We're looking for caring, compassionate and committed people to join our Warrington team as Support Workers. Experience isn't the most important thing to us. What matters is your values, your willingness to learn and your belief that everyone deserves to live the life they choose.
If you're looking for more than just a job, this could be the career you've been searching for.
Why Choose a Career with MacIntyre? Social care is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the UK, offering long-term career opportunities and the chance to make a genuine difference every day.
When you join MacIntyre, you'll benefit from:
Comprehensive training and ongoing support
Opportunities to gain recognised qualifications
Clear career progression pathways
A supportive, values-led culture
A role where you can see the impact of your work every day
The opportunity to build meaningful relationships and create positive change
Many of our colleagues joined from retail, hospitality, customer service, administration and other sectors. What they had in common wasn't experience – it was a passion for people.
What Does a Support Worker Do? No two days are ever the same.
You'll be supporting adults with learning disabilities to live independently, pursue their interests and achieve goals that are important to them.
This might mean:
Supporting James* as he volunteers at his local food bank and contributes to his community
Helping Lucy* prepare for her weekly horse-riding sessions
Encouraging Graham* to develop new skills and grow in confidence
Supporting David* to explore his creativity and work on his latest art project
You'll be alongside people as they build confidence, develop independence, maintain relationships and enjoy the things that matter most to them.
Sometimes you'll be supporting everyday tasks such as shopping, cooking or attending appointments. Other times you'll be celebrating achievements, trying something new together or helping someone achieve a goal they've worked hard towards.
Every day brings opportunities to make a positive difference.
Who We're Looking For We're looking for people who are:
Kind, respectful and compassionate
Positive and enthusiastic
Reliable and committed
Great communicators and team players
Passionate about supporting people to live fulfilling lives
If you share our values, we'll provide all the training and support you need to succeed.
Working With Us We offer both full-time roles (37.5 hours per week) and part-time opportunities. Our services operate seven days a week, so flexibility to work across a varied rota is essential.
A Career with Purpose At MacIntyre, you're not simply supporting people – you're helping create opportunities, build confidence, promote independence and enable people to live the life they choose.
If you want a career where you can grow, develop and make a lasting difference, we'd love to hear from you.
