Job summary
Are you an organised, compassionate and motivated administrator looking to make a real difference to young people's lives?
If so, this could be the perfect role for you.
Our CAMHS Link Learning Disability & Autism (LD/A) Team provides specialist support to young people with learning disabilities and/or autism who are at risk of a mental health inpatient admission. We work to keep young people safe, supported and cared for within their community - and you will be an essential part of making that happen.
As our Administrator, you'll be at the heart of the team: the first friendly voice families hear, the person who helps clinicians stay organised, and the one who keeps the service running smoothly behind the scenes. No two days will be the same, and your contribution will genuinely improve the experiences of young people and their families at a critical point in their lives.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a passionate, supportive and close knit team where your skills, ideas and initiative will be truly valued.
Main duties of the job
* Be the first point of contact for young people, families and partner agencies, offering a warm, reassuring and professional response to all enquiries.
* Coordinate clinicians' diaries, book appointments and manage room bookings to keep the service running smoothly and efficiently.
* Handle incoming referrals, emails, and calls, ensuring information is recorded accurately and passed to the right team member promptly.
* Maintain high quality administrative systems, including filing, data entry, and electronic patient records, always ensuring confidentiality.
* Type letters, reports and meeting minutes to a high standard, supporting clinicians and the Team Manager with timely documentation.
* Support the smooth daily running of the service by managing post, ordering supplies, processing petty cash and keeping office systems organised.
* Work closely with the CAMHS Link LD/A team, helping to coordinate support for young people with learning disabilities and/or autism who are at risk of mental health inpatient admission.
* Provide flexible support to colleagues, offering cover during leave or busy periods and contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture.
