A Little More About Your Role…
Due to our expanding public and private sector workload, we are looking for an enthusiastic and inquisitive Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant with experience in the zero emission mobility arena to join the WSP Future Mobility team (part of our Transport Planning business). We welcome applicants from all around the UK.
Role
You can expect to be active on several projects and client accounts at any given time. Although the role has a zero emission focus, your work may cover a variety of areas of expertise. You will report to a senior member of our team with day-to-day tasks including the following:
* Providing day-to-day support in the delivery of a range of projects, which at any one time could include:
o EV charging and funding bid support – such as supporting clients with Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure bids
o Developing business cases for fleet decarbonisation
o Analyzing EV charging opportunities for a city region or for a cluster of mobility hubs
* Leading and supporting projects, covering technical subject matter expertise and project management to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
* Applying strong analytical skills to critically evaluate and analyse data to provide robust recommendations, including numerical, geographical and qualitative data
* Supporting with, or leading, the preparation of bids, fee proposals and project programmes
* Working at both strategic and detailed levels with strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage with clients, stakeholders and team members
* Actively managing and leading efforts to build collaborative, cooperative, and harmonious working relationships with clients and colleagues, supporting the growth of the Future Mobility offer in the office and nationally
* Being present in the office (hybrid working) alongside colleagues and collaborating across the UK and overseas
Working closely with our Associates and Directors, and supporting the professional development of our junior staff, you will be an important member of our Future Mobility team. The role presents an excellent opportunity to progress your career and expand your professional horizons.

* Accessibility and inclusion, making transport more accessible through a human-centred approach
* Policy and futures, horizon scanning and integrating future mobility into policies and strategies
As a member of our team, you’ll have the chance to develop across a range of subjects. The team includes town planners, economists, accountants, behavioural scientists, and transport planners with projects for UK and international clients.
