Spire Nottingham Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the bank team.

Duties and responsibilities:
To assist the multi-disciplinary operating team to provide exemplary care by offering a timely portering service. The service will include escorting patients between ward, departments and theatre suite; Transporting equipment, medical records, meals, specimens and linen; Moving furniture.
1. Routine tasks related to patient’s health and well being.
2. Ideally be able to undertake venepuncture, although training can be given
3. Production and communication of information and knowledge
4. Contribute to own personal development.
5. Assist in maintaining own and others’ health and safety and security.
6. Assist in maintaining and developing services.
7. Ensure own actions help to maintain quality.
8. Ensure own actions support equality, diversity and rights.
9. Move patients, surgical equipment and goods.
10. Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
