Role Overview: The school is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join their team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering a tailored sports programme that meets the diverse needs of SEN students. The role plays a vital part in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and emotional well-being, while ensuring that every student feels valued, understood, and included. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver an inclusive sports curriculum adapted to meet the needs of students with a range of special educational needs. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure a holistic and consistent approach to student development. Build strong, supportive relationships with students to promote trust and engagement. Modify coaching techniques to support students with ASD, ADHD, Autism, and other SEN. Promote healthy lifestyles while fostering confidence, teamwork, and social skills. Monitor and assess student progress, sharing feedback with staff and contributing to student development plans. Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment during all sports and physical activities. Requirements: Previous experience in sports coaching, preferably in a school or educational environment. Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, and Autism, is highly desirable. A strong understanding of the importance of building supportive relationships with students who have additional needs. Ability to adapt coaching styles and techniques to suit individual learning needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
