Key Responsibilities
Receives and Processes Sales Order data and quotation requests, providing commit dates, acknowledgements and schedules as required.
Receives and Processes Production Forecast data, recommending new builds as appropriate.
Runs and processes MRP, analysing results, converting planned orders, purchase requisitions as necessary.
Analyses Inventory data for all Store locations, recommending strategic purchases, stock adjustments, slow moving and obsolete write offs etc.
Maintains and updates SAP Master data for logistics activities as necessary.
Provides advice, support and mentoring for less experienced members of the material planning team, demonstrating best practice at all times.
Contributes to Global and Local Supply Chain strategy, recommending process improvements and simplification.
Approving and actioning applicable Engineering Change Requests and waivers.
Updates B.O.M's and routings as required.
Support New Product Development activities, with loading production demand, and following up with stakeholders.
Schedule Surface Mount (SMT) assembly in alignment with requirements and capacity limitations.
Tracks SMT demand, capacity and output.
Administers weekly contract review process.
Tracks and reports out net order intake by month.
Administers annual physical count.
Maintains delivery dates within SAP.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
Demonstratable planning experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience) in a low/medium volume, high mix manufacturing environment.
Knowledge and understanding of current Supply Chain techniques and best practice.
Strong knowledge of SAP, MRP and MS Excel.
Working to KPI's and performance monitoring.
Team working and decision-making skills.
Logical and methodical mindset.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Understands the processes which control the flow of WIP onto the shopfloor for conversion into finished products.
Has knowledge of Engineering Change Note (ECN/ECR) implementation within a manufacturing environment.
Ideally has experience of working in an Industrial manufacturing environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
