Premier Engineering is working with a leading automation company based in Milton Keynes who are looking to hire a Robotics Engineer with strong experience in ABB robotic systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team working on high-tech, cutting-edge automation solutions.
The Robotics Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* Degree or Diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
* Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with ABB robotic systems
* Proficient in ABB Rapid programming language
* Extensive experience using ABB RobotStudio for offline programming and simulation
* Familiarity with ABB’s IRC5 controller architecture
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Willingness to travel occasionally for commissioning or support activities
The Robotics Engineer role will involve:
* Programming and configuring ABB industrial robots for various automation applications
* Using RobotStudio to perform offline programming, simulation, and testing
* Integrating robotic systems into automated production environments
* Troubleshooting robotic and control systems on-site and remotely
* Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and software teams during system development
* Supporting system commissioning, testing, and customer training
* Ensuring projects are delivered to specification, on time and within budget
